Strong 8K on Windows PC and Laptop
Useful as a second screen, and the easiest place to test whether a problem is your subscription or your TV device.

Before you start
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Your Strong 8K login details
Download the Windows app
Grab the Strong 8K installer from the Apps page and run it. Windows SmartScreen may warn about an unrecognised publisher; choose More info, then Run anyway.
Sign in
Open the app and enter your Xtream server, username and password. VLC also works well if you would rather just open your M3U link directly.
Check playback
Open a couple of channels from different groups. If they play cleanly on the PC but not on your TV device, the subscription is fine and the issue is on the TV side.
Worth knowing
- A PC on Ethernet is the most reliable way to prove your line is healthy before troubleshooting anything else.
- VLC is the fastest sanity check available: paste the M3U link into Media, then Open Network Stream.
