Strong 8K on MAG and Formuler Box
The simplest setup of the lot, because the box identifies itself by MAC address and there is no username or password to type.
Before you start
- A MAG or Formuler box
- The MAC address printed underneath it
Find the MAC address
It is printed on a sticker on the underside of the box and looks like 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX. You can also read it on screen under Settings, System Settings, then About.
Give us the MAC at checkout
Choose MAG as your delivery type when you order and enter the MAC exactly as printed. This is the only detail we need, and it is what the portal uses to recognise your box.
Enter the portal address
On the box, go to Settings, System Settings, Servers, then Portals. Put Strong 8K in the name field and paste the portal URL from your account into the URL field.
Restart the portal
Save your settings and restart the portal from the system menu. Your channels load automatically, with no login screen to get past.
Worth knowing
- The MAC must match exactly, including the colons. One wrong character and the portal will not recognise the box.
- If you replace the box, send support the new MAC and we will move your subscription across at no charge.
