Smart TV Setup — Install a Player & Add Your M3U

Follow these short steps for Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, and Android/Google TV. No stress—just install a player app and paste your playlist link. You’ll be watching in minutes.

What you need: your player app + your playlist details (either an M3U URL or an Xtream Codes login: host, username, password).

Quick app choices

  • Samsung (Tizen): Smart IPTV (SIPTV) or Smart STB.
  • LG (webOS): Smart IPTV (SIPTV) or Smart STB.
  • Android/Google TV: IPTV Smarters, TiviMate, OTT Navigator.
Apps are players only—they don’t include content. You’ll add your own playlist.

Samsung Tizen — Smart IPTV (SIPTV)

Install the app from the Samsung store (if available). On some models, you can install via USB developer widget. Then upload your playlist using the official SIPTV uploader with your TV’s MAC address.

  1. Install: Search “Smart IPTV” in the TV app store. If it’s not shown on your model, SIPTV provides a USB install method for Tizen/Orsay—follow their how-to. (Official docs)
  2. Open the app → note the TV’s MAC address shown on screen.
  3. Upload playlist: On a phone/PC, go to SIPTV’s My List page and enter your MAC + M3U URL. Save, then restart the app.

  2. Open the app and note your TV MAC address.
  3. Upload playlist: Visit the SIPTV My List page from your phone/PC, enter MAC + M3U URL, then restart the app.

Alternatives (also popular on Smart TVs)

  2. Add your Portal URL (or M3U) and set it as default; save and restart.
  3. You can also edit portals on the Smart STB website using the device’s settings code or QR.

Troubleshooting & Tips

  • Nothing loads? Double-check your M3U URL (typos, spaces) and try again. Some apps require a restart after you upload.
  • Slow or buffering? Use a wired connection if possible, or 5GHz Wi-Fi. If your ISP throttles streaming, a reputable VPN can help.
  • Samsung/LG only show a few channels? Use the app’s “Reload/Refresh” option. For SIPTV, re-upload at the My List page and tick “Keep Online”.
  • Portal vs M3U? Smart STB (portal-style) behaves like a MAG box; M3U players (Smarters/TiviMate) simply parse your list.
  • Legal note: Player apps do not supply content. Use playlists you are entitled to view in your region.

FAQs

Samsung/LG: Smart IPTV or Smart STB. Android/Google TV: IPTV Smarters (simple) or TiviMate (advanced). If one isn’t available in your region, choose another from the list above.

Most apps ask for an M3U URL. Some can also use Xtream Codes (server/host, username, password). Smart STB uses a Portal URL (Stalker-style).

Install only from official TV stores or trusted developer pages, and only add playlists you’re allowed to use. Player apps don’t include content by themselves.

Some apps auto-map EPG; others need a separate EPG URL in settings. Check your app’s EPG section and add your provider’s XMLTV/EPG link.
